Christian Lead is a national initiative of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), founded by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other pastors, and grounded in the enduring truth of 1 Corinthians 13.
It calls on Christian leaders to live out their faith in public life through civic responsibility, community engagement, and compassionate leadership, demonstrating that true strength begins in our neighborhoods, congregations, and daily actions.
Christian LEAD’s Faith in Action Roundtable and SCLC LEAD Weekend, and Love in Action Nonviolence Primer Workshop, empowers leaders to build the Beloved Community envisioned by Dr. King—connecting diverse communities, fostering collaboration, and advancing justice, human dignity, and lasting social transformation.
