18 Jun Press Release: SCLC Response to Charleston Mass Shooting
Today the SCLC family offers our prayers and condolences to the families and victims of this horrific act in Charleston, SC.
Our President/CEO Dr. Charles Steele Jr. was with Rev. Clementa Pinckney less than two months ago at a prayer vigil for Walter Scott and spoke at Emmanuel AME against senseless violence and the need
for all communities to embrace non-violence.
In our grief, we are reaffirmed in our belief that we must continue to teach non-violence in order to heal our communities.
