05 May Baltimore Police Charged- SCLC
Atlanta – Dr. Charles Steele, Jr. President and CEO of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (the civil rights organization co-founded by the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) applauded Baltimore City State’s Attorney and prosecutor Marilyn Mosby for taking swift action in bringing criminal charges against the Baltimore police officers involved in the death of Freddie Gray.
“As a national voice for the poor, SCLC echoes Dr. King’s word’s that ‘justice delayed is justice denied’. SCLC historically, has always be involved in monitoring the judicial process, we will continue to do so and will make our organization’s resources available as needed”, said Steele.
