WeBuild Project

Part of the ongoing relief efforts will be the arduous task of rebuilding the community. The SCLC WeBuild Project is our effort to connect the community to the rebuilding efforts. We will be partnering with T&B 4syth, LLC to remove debris, provide temporary construction, tree removing to help clear roads, prepare lots for construction. Additionally, we are working with Earth Friendly Building Materials, a company that provides building materials that withstand winds up to 200 mph and is built out of materials that traditionally clog our landfills and ecosystems.

The SCLC is also partnering with Jeff Bryant and Major Everett to lead efforts to recruit a coalition of former and currently NFL players to be involved with this effort. Jeff Bryant, a All American who won a national championship in college (1981) at Clemson University and professionally for the Seattle Seahawks for twelve years. Major Everett played collegiately for Mississippi College, and played in the Division II championship in 1979 and played professionally for five years for the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons. They will appeal for players to lend their name and resources to the WeBuild Project in additional to ongoing SCLC Poor People’s Campaign.

Additionally, the SCLC has secured a partnership with Mr. Bentley Kyle Evans. Mr. Evans was the producer of the Jamie Foxx show, Executive Producer of the Martin Lawrence Show and is the producer of Family Time (currently being aired on Bounce TV) supporting the effort of the SCLC and its efforts to assist in the massive relief effort for the pan handle of Florida and southern Georgia.
